thanks,
Patrick
They are two of three extremely premature anery babies from a litter we had in 05 from our EBV red group hypo X Ivory Anery. They are still quite small, but growing steadily.
Thanks for the comliments!

was the EBV RG hypo also het for anery then?
I thought maybe these were your from your WG line.
thanks for the info,
Patrick
That breeding was the first time our Ivory had ever been with another male. There is no wg blood there. I traced our RG male's hypo lineage several generations back on both sides with no history for anerythrism.
If he were a het, then statistically, out of a litter of 16 I should have gotten ghosts, but did not. I got 3 anerys, 6 dh ghosts, and 7 het anerys. Crappy odds if he is a het. My personal opinion is the 3 female anerys are the product of parthenogenesis, which is more like winning the powerball lotto.
This season I will breed our 04 WG hypo male(sire to the f2 wg's) to see if he is het for anery or not(50% poss.), and to try to make some wg ghosts and aneries.
I may one day breed the rg hypo male to a different anery to see what happens. We will see....

that is interesting.
have you considered any chance that those three "mystery" anerys are something else? is there a chance something "new" is going on with them??
the WG normals seem to have an "anery" look to them.. at least from the pics.. is this true in person? do they have a sort of grey overtone in their saddles?
thanks again. you have some very interesting boas!
Patrick
I am sure you have noticed that diferent boas, even from the same litter can have very different attitudes and demeanors. All three anery girls in this respect are clones of their mom.
I can definitely NOT rule out that they are something different, but in the end I beleive they will be three very nice Ivory aneries.
Thw WG normals do have a very aneryish appearance. Many at first, except for the tail area are more black white and grey than most aneries I have seen. As they grow older they will develop a golden overtone. The black gets blacker, speckling increases, but the base tone stays consistently aneryish.
Because the background on the matriarch is unknown, I will never know for sure, but often I have speculated that ther may be Bcl in her ancestry. Several of the WG offspring have developed in a very longi fashion. Just a thought, anyway.
