Good question. I have no idea on this one. Maybe someone else has some input on this.

Yes, it has been done many times. Just look at the Albino-surinam crosses. As have BCI-BCO and BCC-BCO.
I believe the question was have they been bred together. A bcl and bci cross.

I did answer the question since the albino would be BCI and the Surinam would be BCC.
I have a couple of questions. What does a surinam (bcc) have to do with longicauda (bcl)? and I'm not familiar with a bcc and bco crosses but I'm sure they have been done but you do mean occidentalis not ortonii correct? bco and bci= salmontines which I believe was the first intergrade but don't quote me on that and also albino bci and bcc crosses are also 10 years old

Scroll down the forum a bit, or look at the link below. It appears to be a B.c.i. x B.c.l.
That pic could be a cross of the two. Just dont know. To me it looks alot like a longacauda but it doesn't have the intense black and very little yellow color like most of the pics I've seen. The color is more amarali-ish..to me.????

That snake has bci head shaped snout. If you have seen bcLs up close, you can tell that had a "different" shaped head and jawline.
I can see a little difference but, I've not had any "real" experience with them so this is just my thoughts from some of the pics I have seen.

I'm not a fan of crosses, but with morphs I guess it's OK. I have this female anery longicauda that will be breeding size next year. She's very contrasty, and I'm considering breeding her with this leopard male. The anery leopard babies look very promising, and the longi is a smaller race like the leopards, and dark. I'd be interested in opinions. Mark

Mark,
I have always wondered why noone has taken a really light silverback BCA and bred in the anery gene. That seems like a logical direction to take a morph project. Anyways, good luck with the Leo-cauda! I have been straddleing the fence with a CA super motley x longicauda to produce a truly black, black boa. I just can't bring myself to do it to longi's. They are truly amazing on their own.

Good for you !
