My new spider, & opinion on 50% het pied

royalkreationz Jul 22, 2007 11:31 PM

I got this spider from a friend of mine when I visited his facility a couple of weeks ago. He also gave me a free het pied male. I bought a 50% het pied female at a herp show. Here is here vent, tail, and belly pic. I think she is as good as 100% with this good of a marker, but would like some other opinions on it. I also got a het. caramel male while I was there.

You will not know if she is 100% until she is bred and produces a pied. The marker is not a true sign of a het pied. there have been many who have normals with the marker and nothing happens.

I just think a possible het with the marker is better than one without.

Congratulations on the new additions!!!

IMO that doesn't much look like a het pied marker - Het pied markers consist of a white belly three scales wide between the heavy stripes which should extend at least the lower third of the snake - but breed her and find out! Lots of people hit the dds with possibles this year. Good luck!

JET Pythons

(CJBianco explaining the origins of the BP market.)
"In the beginning Bob created the Ball Python market. And the market was without morph, and wild traits were upon the industry. And Bob said, Let there be morph, and there was morph. And Bob saw the morph, that it was good; and Bob divided the morph from the wild trait. And Bob called the morph Albino, and the wild trait Normal. And the Albino and the Heterozygous Albino were the first investment.
