Real County, TX last night.

Went out on a ranch in Real County last night. Found a whopping ONE snake Saw lots of racoons, 3 porcupines, 1 fox and this bairds rat snake.

LOTS of rain down here so the snake hunting should be good once it dries up a bit.

If you are only going to find one snake, bairdii is a nice one to get stuck with.

Yes sir, I was happy. It was actually the 1st I'd found in about 5 years! They have got to be the most docile snakes around.
