I'm new help

tinker1219 Jul 23, 2007 02:18 PM

I found a Box that was injured about 3 months ago. I nursed him back to health and is doing great. I've done alot of research and know I'm in it for the long haul. I LOVE him! But I can't find some information still. He eats lots of fruits and proteins but nothing works when it comes to veggies. I've tried everything posted here. Any new ideas?

Usually its best just to cut them up small and mix them in with foods he will eat. Like if he really likes raspberries, cut up the veggies and mash them into the raspberries. Also, feeding the bugs mixed into the greens can help sometimes. Every so often they will accidentally get a bit of the greens and hopefully think "hey thats not to bad". I have found mixing them in with fruit to work best though.

Thanks! He ate his first shredded carrot. Even though he ate around the rest of it, it is a start.

Here is my stock answer!

Either buy some beef baby food and mix the chopped veggies into it, then slowly add less and less baby food

or

Buy baby food veggies, and dipped their protein items (ie. worms) into the veggies.
