What do I get?

wildsidepets Jul 23, 2007 03:43 PM

I bred a Albino and a Charcoal together and just had 12 babies hatch. 6 albinos and 6 what I would imgine to be charcoals. But I have never seen a hatchling charcoal and they are not what i expected. Could they be something else?? If anyone has any info please, I figured i would just mess around with these two for the fun of it but now I am confused. And not very good with genetics either. I guess that doesn't help and appearently I am even more computer illiterate then I thought. I have tried to put a picture but i can't seem to do it.

They are probably normals.
Normals look pretty dark when hatchlings.
The fact that you got amels would lead me to believe the charcoal was het amel.
breed amel to charcoal het amel you get amels het charcoal
and normals het amel het charcoal

Thanks everyone. My Charcoal must be het. Kinda cool to find that out. I found my corn book that i got a long time ago by bill and kathy love. In it has a place to go on the net to get a corn predictor. Although the site is now gone I still found the program by Googleing "Corn Snake Progeny Predictor" Its helped a lot. Didn't know that the two would give me what I got and that they are all het. for both Amel and Charcoal or otherwise known as Blizzard. I plan on keeping two cuz they are also het for zigzag and appearntly Aztec. Hopefully the two I have my eye on will be of opposite sex. And no I am not the same wildsidepets. I had to close my store becuase I had my daughter but I still have fun breeding, but now its harder to part with them .
thanks again
