I am adopting a Peublan this week and I would like to have a few questions answered. I have kept easterns and florida kings in the past, but its been 11 years.

1. (dont laugh) how many holes should I drill into the sweater box, and should I put some holes in the lid?

2. The animal is a sub-adult. What would be a proper feeding schedule?

Unfortunately I do not know the snakes gender or where it came from but when I inspected it over the weekend it looked healthy. Shiny, and a good weight. I will post pics as soon as I get him/her set-up.

This is what i do on all 4 sides of my boxes. And, i don't put any holes in the lid..

I do the same, but only on the sides. I use a soldering iron to melt the holes because it works so much better than a drill.

My homemade rack is open sided and uses no lids. The next shelf up is the lid but it must fit tight. I have holes on all four sides as it is open on all sides.I use a Sears glue gun minus the glue to melt the holes. If your new milk snake is small I will warn you that they can sometimes pry open the lid and get away so you may want to use books as weights or tape on the sides.

I also use tanks with homemade lids wedged to the back shelf support above

WOW, I like that home made rack! You ever tried using rope lights for undercage heating? What do you use?
