Pleasant surprise!

toad112081 Jul 23, 2007 06:26 PM

Well, some things in my personal life haven't been going so hot. (Won't bore anyone with the details.) Today I came home to a pleasant surprise while cleaning and rearranging my ackie cage....13 eggs!! With everything else going on I wasn't really prepared for this so, I'd like to give a big thanks to Scott Braunstein for helping me out. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed!!

Zack

Here's a pic of the eggs and a couple of the proud momma. (Poppa was burrowed.)

Congratulations on the eggs, Zack! I wish you well with them.

Not to take anything away from Zack but I'm scratchin' my head tryin' to figure out how this thread got a "Hot Topic" label. Am I missin' somethin' besides my front teeth?

Have a good one!

We'll just say, "You're special, Zack."

Actually, I think it's an attempt to conjure up participation, discussion, after a recent, unfortunate, event that was allowed to go on too long.

Is this your first clutch, Zack?

Take care!

Yes, this is my first clutch. Funny thing is, I received this pair from someone who had them for a couple of years and was disappointed that they didn't produce. I just took them in because I've always wanted a pair. Have to wait and see how they develope.

Ha! Ha! Poor him, lucky you.

Not knowing all the details (like - whether or not they produced eggs for the other person but were infertile, etc...) assuming this is the first clutch they've produced, it could prove that you're doing something right.

What I mean is maybe there's something in your husbandry that wasn't in the other person's, making satisfactory conditions for the monitors.

Either way, I'm cheering for ya, hoping all eggs are fertile and that you have a high hatch/survival rate. Congratulations!

Take care!

He said that they never produced any eggs. (Fertile or otherwise) Thanks for the best wishes.

By the way, your last post; "Yes, this is my first clutch. Funny thing is, I received this pair from someone who had them for a couple of years and was disappointed that they didn't produce. I just took them in because I've always wanted a pair. Have to wait and see how they develope." justifies the "Hot Topic" label. Ha! Ha!

Later!
