Just wanted to thank everyone who's answered my many questions. This little boa is just the sweetest, most amazing and beautiful animal. I can't wait to see her mature. She has already grown so much since I got her just 16 days ago! I'm truly in love.

I got another heating pad, and I'm going to buy a thermostat (see below) to keep the temps perfect. I also bought the TropicAire humidifier. It's only been hooked up for about 10 minutes But I like it already. Sounds like what I needed - something that increases humidity without pouring out buckets of water into the cage. I may also splurge and get a mister on a timer that sprays the cage in regular intervals a few times a day.

I've covered the mesh part of the lid, leaving just a sliver of an opening for old air to escape. And I shelved the heat lamp.

Nyoka shed completely yesterday, and ate tonight. She also posed for some pics. She's an active baby and loves to explore every inch of her cage. And she just loves to wrap around fake trees.
