sulcata enclosure

evolady Jul 24, 2007 12:41 PM

Hello all, I am starting the plans for my new sulcata enclosure and was hoping to get some ideas off of everyone. He is about 10 lbs now. He is getting big. This will be to house him inside during bad weather. I am thinking it will be about 4 ft x 8 ft. Any ideas what to use as a water bowl? I was hoping for something big enough for him to get into since he has outgrown his current bowl. I was also trying to figure a way to have a drain on it so I could drain it, clean it, plug it back up and refill it. Any ideas? Also, I have three other torts that I will be housing in seperate tables and I am thinking about stacking the tables. The boyfriend claims we can stack them and then they would roll out for cleaning. Has anyone tried that? It would take up less floor space.

I see someone else likes my enclosure ideas. I have added a few things since these pics but everything is working very well I added kind of a rock pile (secure of coarse) It was made with a few hides in the rocks ( stays cool during the hot hours)and I planted hens and chicks all over the rock. they grow grow in the cracks very well. I have seen my torts almost stand on their back legs to get at the succulents. I just give them a few a week and it helps keep them healthy and varies their diet. I'll post a few pics later.
