Found in NM....this is my favorite crote, and you can see why...

Here's another shot...

Yet another pic...you can never take too many pics of these animals....

He gets sick of human company and decides that it's time to "shove off" for a little "alone time"

Cute little fella...

Straight from the road to your living room...

Pretty lookin' male...with attitude

Beautiful man!!! I love NM black tails! Ive had the pleasure of finding a neonate Tx black tail about 50 miles west of Del Rio but its coloration couldnt hold a candle to that high yellow (im color blind so I apologize if yellow isnt the correct color LOL). The ones out there are your text book pet trade varient.
Is that phase also found in AZ?
Thanks for sharing man! I got skunked at my horridus spot this past weekend but will hopefully be able to return the pic envy next Monday ^^
All the best,
Jeremy
Yes, that animal IS quite yellow and similar looking animals do occur in Arizona
...That phase is the treasure of many crote keepers, and is largely restricted to both SE Arizona and SW New Mexico (at least here in the US)...Molossus from other parts of Az tend to be brownish, greenish or "washed out" animals, and while those are interesting in their own right, IMO they don't hold a candle to these guys....
I love heading down to SE Az or NM to see these guys...just stunning...
Sorry to hear about your unsuccessful horridus trip
Be sure to post pics when you do scare one of those up!
