River Rds.......

vichris Jul 24, 2007 07:45 PM

I had a small clutch of 5 river rds hatch out the other day. A couple of them still need to shed so I'll post pics here soon. In the mean time here's some cousin's of GBK's that recently hatched out for me.

Vichris,
Amazing Thayeri! How do you get those little buggers to stay still for those great pics?

I cup them in both hands for a few minutes. Then I gently place them where I want them and hold my free hand over them for a few seconds. I use a tripod so I only need one hand for framing, focusing etc..... I can usually get off a couple of pics before they wander off. It really pays to spend some time preparing your set up before you get the snake out and try and get him/her to pose.

Here's one of my breeder females that I took a pic of a couple years ago.
