Pastel that looks like a keeper.

John Q Jul 25, 2007 11:32 AM

I bred my male pastel to a female that I picked up as a dinking project. I liked her color and pattern. First time breeder that gave me 5 eggs. The first egg out was pushed aside. I put it back in the pile 2X and she pushed it out. It looked good so I incubated the egg which was bad after 2 days. Somehow she knew. Of the 4 remaining eggs 1 pipped on Monday, a pastel. Then Tuesday during the day 2 more pipped, normals. The last egg pipped around 6pm last night. I cut a nice size window around 8pm, a pastel. A pastel that appears to have much more yellow than other pastels that I have seen in the egg. Nicer than its sibling pastel.
