Wood aquarium

This may be a better question for the cage forum, but I wanted to just ask turtle people.
Over the winter, ( I have a lot of time to think of this !LOL)
I want to build a large aquarium in my basement.
I was told I could build it out of plywood, marine epoxy finish it and even put glass fronts and sides in it...sort of like windows on all sides.

I'm an excellent carpenter, and I have a lot of time to work on it. The best way for something like this will be slow and sure.
Its going to house a 50lb snapper as well as have partitions so I can also house my smaller snappers Just by putting black plexi dividers into pre-made slots which will divide it up if I want. This thing will be really large and actually go around a pole in my basement on all 4 sides. Could end up being as large as 600-700 gallons. Water pressure on the wood will not be an issue becuse of the brace system we've designed and the fact that the depth is not going to be all that great in most of it.

I'm still way in the planning stages, but I really don't know anything about epoxy or water proof paints. I would appreciate any help at all. This thing has the potential to be awesome, but would be a disaster if the thing didn't seal or the paint wore off or something.
You also know the way these things go...before you know it, it can get so expensive that its just not possible.
Any feedback here or to my e-mail would be appreciated.

I have some experience with this, but am busy tonight. Didn't want you to think that you were sending a message into a black hole.

Will get back to you in a couple of days.
