Is it common practice to breed females in back to back years or is it better for the female to breed every other year?
Thanks,
Dan

I think it depends upon the female. If she is large enough, or hasn't lost that much weight, I think they can be bred each year, as long as they gain back enough weight and are healthy.
However, some females might not gain back weight at the same rate, so you'd probably have to decide by evaluating the female in question.
