Helix Thermostats...

MannyRottie Jul 25, 2007 09:02 PM

I am planning on purchasing a Helix thermostat and it seems like the going rate is $130 plus shipping. Does anyone know anywhere to get it cheaper? When I set up my saltwater reef tank I bargain shopped for everything and I saved alot of money. Just checking if anyone sells it for less so I will have more money to buy some more babies. Thanks

You are probably not going to find them any cheaper. You don't see them for sale used too often. You might want to consider a herpstat which is a little cheaper and just as good IMO.

thats about as low as youll find it. Even used they hit 100 easy....75 if they want to move them. Depending where your rack will be youll still get a funky temp gradiant. I would recommend herpstat pro based on the specs...you can have four seperate temps on it so i hear.... you might want to look into it but that one runs over 300 dollars

Have you looked at the Syper Robotics Herpstat line as well? Prices are similar, but they include some features that are extra on the Helix.
