positive what these are. Is the Granite Mojave (second two images) a Super form of a Granite Mojave or just a more aberrant form of the previous Granite Mojave’s we've produced. And the first image looks like some other Balls we've seen posted here recently, but not like a Granite or Granite Mojave. Is she a Super Granite, an aberrant Granite or another form of a Granite Mojave? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Crazy pattern! I wonder what would happen if they were bred into some calicos!?!

The new one looks alot like your other mojave granite, but with a tighter pattern. So who knows,it could be a super granite i guess.(Wer'e not much help are we.lol)

I'll have to be honest here... when I first saw the granite mojave I thought "meh, no big deal". I am so glad you saw this one through becuase those babies are awesome. IMO you've got a Mojave "Super Granite" but we won't know until you go granite x granite from the same line.

I'll echo the sentiment that they look very similar on the sides to some of the things that have been popping up for sale lately.

This goes to show that you have to trust your gut sometimes. Congrats.

I think they all look great - and I hope you have them at Anaheim I'd love to see them in person!

Question - are you using the same granite line for this breeding (if so will you post a picture or the original granite) or using multiple granite lines?

Thanks and Congrats!!!

"In the beginning Bob created the Ball Python market. And the market was without morph, and wild traits were upon the industry. And Bob said, Let there be morph, and there was morph. And Bob saw the morph, that it was good; and Bob divided the morph from the wild trait. And Bob called the morph Albino, and the wild trait Normal. And the Albino and the Heterozygous Albino were the first investment.

I sometimes wonder if there isn’t a hidden or tagalong gene with some of the true (genetic) Granites that have come out of Africa in the last 5-6 years . I have always loved the granite ,of all the natural accruing Morphs it just seamed to me to have more going on than what you see on the surface , as soon as I have enough Granites to be able to do it properly I plan on doing some extensive breeding and gene research on them . And hopefully I can find what I’m looking for , witch is a definitive answer to the Question , Is there a tagalong or not . Thanks David of DS Reptile Rescue PS. All of the ones you have produced are gorges !! ,and I would like to talk to ya’ll about getting or possibly using some of yours in the project that I have planed .?.?.

That is a really interesting thought. I have a couple animals similar to that in from Africa again this year and it never crossed my mind that they may be a super form of granite. Aren't all supers (except for pastels) white? All kidding aside that may change my breeding plans for this next season.

Congrats on thoughs nice babies, they look great. If I may put my 2 cents in I think they are super granite mojave's. They almost look like a super sable Mojave.

Python Dreams Jul 26, 2007 05:38 PM

That looks sweet! It does look like one of those "new morphs" that keep coming in crossed with a Mojave. Congrats!

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

MAHLON Jul 31, 2007 04:32 PM

My guess would be, top one is a Het. Mojave Homo Granite, while the following animal would be just Homo. Granite.

Very nice animals, regardless! Nice to see yourselves as well as RDR proving out that super granite!
