Hova-bator Question??????

geckoluver101 Aug 19, 2003 09:31 AM

Yea! Just got my hova-bator but i have one question. In the directions it says to fill the thermal place at the bottom of the container with warm water when you turn the eggs. I know you don't turn gecko eggs so do you still fill the bottom with water or do you just keep the vermiculite moist? Your replys are greatly appriciated!! Thanx, Katie

Just keep the vermiculite damp inside the deli cups or containers you are keeping the eggs in. i never used water in any of my Hovabators either.

I keep water in my incubator at all times, as well as keeping the incubation substrate moist. The water lets me keep the vermiculite or clay that I am using a tad drier than without it.
