My snake has a problem please help

I went to see my 17ft retic today and he had poop in his cage. No big deal so I cleaned it and I usually wash him up as well. Only problem is he now has a quarter sized bump on his back. Could it be a infection since he was laying in his poop? I put perioxide on it and antibotic oiment for now. When I put perioxide on it it sizzled and it turned white.... thank u

After keeping Boids for over 40yrs I treat allot of my animals myself, but I do advise most people to take there animals to the vet when in doubt! I do in some cases myself and there is always something to learn! Regards, Big Jim
