Not only do I get the satisfaction of a full freezer... but the dry ice is fun too! Here are some pics of an orange I buried in some dry ice today. My kids got a kick out of watching it shatter.

That is good fun with dry ice. My science teacher let us do our own dry ice bombs and then we burned flowers and cookies in liquid nitrogen and then threw them on the ground and they just cracked and fell apart, pretty cool and loads of fun.

Throw some in the toilet with some pump hand soap or dish soap and watch the fun.

That sounds like fun... never occurred to me to take it that far. I'm sure my son would get a kick out of that... my daughter would just wonder what the heck is wrong with the toilet. She's still a little too young to comprehend... but the shattering orange had her rolling.

ROFL! My family loves rat day too. Have you tried the screaming knife or the fog? if not, hold a butter knife blade width wise to the ice and hear it scream. Drop the ice into warm water and make fog. Use plenty of ventilation.
