A good day for Stripes!!!

anthony james mc Jul 27, 2007 10:01 AM

Haven't sexed them yet.. ONLY 1 has a slight break in it's Stripe , the other 3 are 100% Perfect Stripes.... And NO they are NOT from a weird Yellow Belly sib mother either!!! Hope you like what you see! The odd looking one is a Striped Mojave female, she will go nicely into this project down the road.. Anthony McCain Reptiles...

You are the luckiest person I`ve ever seen. Could you come over and sprinkle some of your magic pixie dust on my collection? All kidding aside, big congrats!!! I know how hard you work and I`m happy to see you do so well. Mark Petros BallPython777.com

Thank you Mark, I appreciate the kind words man! Trust me when I say that I have had my share of bad luck out here as well over the years... It's times like this when things go well that make it worth while and make the not so good times easier to swallow... Take care man, I'll see you this fall, Anthony McCain Reptiles..

Thanks Jared, they are nice looking Super Stripes, as I guess is the proper name, you named them , just as I named and identified the Whirlwinds, take care, Anthony....

Hey Rob , thanks man! Actually I won't be there this year, I don't like to leave eggs behind this time of year, I worry to much that something would go wrong and nobody would be able to correct a temp problem in time .. Thinking of things like that spoils my time away during the hottest time of the year... Anthony McCain Reptiles.

Great looking animals! Was it an Ivory to Whirlwind breeding? What are the clutch stats? Good work!

Don't you wanna be a BALLER too?

anthony james mc Jul 27, 2007 04:05 PM

Yes, you are correct. it was whirlwind x Ivory , yield was 2 YB's , 3 female Super Stripes and a male Super Stripe.. The smallest SS was 80 grms , the largest SS was 90 grms , nice to hatch out big stocky animals , the odds worked out nicely on this one.. The value of an Ivory makes alot of difference when it comes to the numbers game.. The adult Ivory was quite expensive 18 months ago , looking back on it now seems to have been worth every penny he cost me, he was a very nice match for this clutch... Anthony McCain Reptiles...
