Female Jackson's not growing

z10silver Aug 19, 2003 10:46 AM

I have had a female jackson's chameleon for about 6 months and it hasn't really grown at all since I got it. (It's about 4 1/2 inches long w/ the tail) I am feeding crickets and mealworms, dusted with vitamins. Now she seems to have lost interest in the mealworms. What could be the problem?

Try different foods.

The mealworms can be kinda bad for them if fed too much. that hard shell can casue problems.

try silk worms! My jackson loves them. and they stay put in the cage. also try butter worms (sparingly) and try other food stuffs too!

Mine is off crickets right now. not interested in them. so I just feed him silkies and the occasional superworm (small). I keep offering the crix, but he refuses them. I assume one day he will see one again and take it.

If you need silkies - let me know.
