Does melanism occur in P. regius? Wouldn't that be a pretty snake?
Very dark and even black ball pythons show up from time to time but I think so far none have proved genetic. NERD had a particularly nice black one but I think it unfortunately failed as well and I notice they don't list it in their new gallery. Maybe some day we will have a genetic one. I once had a melanistic corn that may have been caused by extremely cool incubation temperature, not sure.
