Housing Qs

imbubbasmom Jul 27, 2007 06:09 PM

I have 4 female leopard geckos. I'd like to set them up in one tank, in kind of a natural setting. Is a 20-long big enough??

Also, where do I get the shale for substrate? And if you guys are talking about the shale tiles like the ones at Home Depot, etc., would you have to dismantle the setup every time for cleaning? I clean them every day, so this would be a fair pain...

Thanks in advance!
Kim

I have 3 Adult leos(1 male 2 Females) in a about 20", its perfect, although 1 more I guess wouldnt be that bad but pushing it.

Make sure you have at atleast 2 - 3 humid huts. Although females arent too aggressive with each other, its better that you make them comfortable.

Just to add, 20" x 12" is what I got,

Keep close watch over your leos, since this is a group there will still be a alpha female between the 4.

Good Luck.
