Black pine laying eggs

HaikuDan Jul 27, 2007 06:48 PM

Just snapped this shot of my black pine laying her first clutch. It's the first time I've seen first hand how huge black pine eggs are! I'm amazed.

I put them together in mid-June for a second try. All my other stuff had laid or was close to it but she didn't look gravid at all so I tried 'em again.

She's laid four so far and still has one or maybe two in her.

It's going very slowly. There were two laid when I got home from work. I went out about three hours later and there were three. Just got home another three hours later and I was hoping she was done and I could put them in the incubator, but instead I see four eggs and she's still not finished. She's taking nearly three hours per egg! I think my wife was in labor for less time, but don't tell her I said that!

my girl laid nine eggs over about 4 hours but they're not the biggest eggs ever. bonnie and clyde are back up to weight and getting ready for me to put them down in november so I can go skiing.
What else was laying eggs?

I've got some eggs cooking of some corn morphs, a few gecko species, and the highlight of the season for me: yellow ackie monitors.

Dang those eggs are huge! I guess my girl didn't have enough room for that big of eggs. She had to fit 9 in the space of 4 lol
good luck with the rest of the eggs. any uroplatus eggs?
Nate

I don't keep any Uroplatus... yet! I'm hoping to start a U.phantasticus project later this year.
