HELP - Shipping info needed

alanqluu Jul 28, 2007 12:14 AM

Hi,

I'm just a hobbyist, and am moving from CA to TX. Tried to ship my 2 small torts to my new location but have had a hard time in finding shipper(s). UPS said no live animal, Fedex also said no live animal, Delta Dash said that it must be business to business, and sometimes I got conflicting info between what was posted on shippers' web sites and the people who handle the shipping. Please help!!!! How do you ship yours?

Appreciate feedback and advice.

Have you contacted DHL?
You have to sign a small animal shipping waiver but they will ship them Express.

Delta does ship reptiles via Delta Dash but you may have to have an account first.

Thanks, Littlelizard. No, I haven't checked with DHL and will look into it. Any other suggestions would greatly appreciated.

I am pretty sure the USPS (United States Postal Service) will ship them overnight. I know they will ship live fish, as I have shipped several. They will only do it overnight and it is expensive.

UPS does ship turtles/tortoises. Many times, the employees aren't even aware of their own policies. There are a few they will not ship, like snapping turtles, but they do ship tortoises. Kevin
