TexasTreeViper Jul 28, 2007 12:17 AM

Being an arboreal fanatic, I am just curious to see what species others who share my interests are keeping. Here is my current line up:
Atheris ceratophora
Atheris chlorechis
Atheris squamigera
Bothriechis lateralis
Cryptelytrops albolabris
Cryptelytrops macrops
Cryptelytrops purpureomaculatus
Cryptelytrops venustus
Parias hageni
Trimeresurus puniceus
Trimeresurus trigonocephalus
Tropidolaemus wagleri

I've got your bug. I keep terrestrials too, mainly temperates, & had actually left arboreals for several years but have recently jumped back in pretty quick.

Currently keeping
A. chlorechis, squamiger
B. lateralis, schlegelii
C. purpureomaculatus
T. wagleri

I'm itching to go full-blown naturalistic on the wagleri. It's like they're made for it. Right now everything's hand-mist (I have automatic for when out of town, but enjoy seeing the animals daily), plastic plants, over a fairly bioactive substrate and a large water bowl for "humidity inertia". I'm thinking about adding air stones to all the water bowls.

Other taxa kept in past
A. nitschei
C. albolabris
T. borneensis

Shoot me an e-mail and we can geek out if you like. Ha ha.

cheers,
Jimi

Hi guys.
Arboreal vipers are also my "thing".

At the moment I keep:
1.1.1. Atheris squamigera
1.1. Bothriopsis b. bilineata
2.1. Bothriechis schlegelii (second clutch is on it's way)
1.1. Cryptelytrops (Trimeresurus) venustus
1.1. + 5.2. (newborns) Trimeresurus puniceus - Bengkulu Sumatra

I'm hoping to get couple of new sp. to my collection this year inc. A. nitschei, A. chlorechis and B. lateralis or B. supraciliaris and perhaps T. wagleri (Singapore/Malaysian).

Sami
