I love multi hets!!!. . .dial-up warning

JonelLopez Jul 28, 2007 03:05 AM

Got my first clutch of bullsnake to hatch out about 2 weeks ago from a quadruple het pair. As they were pipping I was very excited to see what colors and pattern types will come out of each egg with all the odds, percentages, and possible combinations of morphs of this clutch. Out of 8 eggs here's what I got:

speckled whitesided

patterned...lavender....whatchamacallit snow?

albino

speckled

anerythristic/axanthic?

and of course. . .some normals

I LIKE! Theadrenalin is still in cruise control since I have another clutch of 12 incubating....wooohooo

BTW, meet the parents
Sire

Dam

Hope you guys enjoy the series...

i would consider #2 a t amel.....#3 a t- amel....#4 patternless....and #5 just anerythristic(you can clearly see yellow overtones on the ground color)....all very nice though;i'm partial to that t-amel and the normals.

Hi

Thanks for the input. Based on what I got with this clutch, I think that "#2" is a double homozygous animal for albino and anerythristic, #3 is most likely the more common T- amel (I have not heared of any T+ amels in bullsnakes yet). I feel the same about that the animal with the normal is an anerythristic instead of axanthic since you can see yellows in the background and the lack of red. I'm very curious how this animal would develop as adults. Thanks again and take care.

Getting eggs from those 2 must be better than Christmas as a kid wonderin' what's in those boxes under the tree. All that from one clutch! I think I'm in love w/ multi hets now too.

Congrats, great looking animals. Love the Lavernder Snow and the Whiteside Speckaled. The Axanthic that came out of my Triples looks more anery then Axanthic too.

Hi Scott

Thanks. It's my favorite of the bunch. I guess I like the nice contrast and irregular patterns of the animal. Thanks again.
