More het questions...

If I was to breed a het male clown or a het male genetic stripe to a spider female, would I get anything cool? I am still trying to understand the dominant, co-dom. traits. Is there such thing as a clown spider or a striped spider? Striped spider would be really cool.

If you bred two hets for two different traits, say clown and Gstripe, then each offspring would have a 50% chance of being het for clown and a 50% chance of being het for Gstripe. Thats a hard row to hoe to get to a double visual in the distant future. It would be much better to breed a visual to a visual, then all of the babies would be double hets for sure...

ok your spider is a co-dom so no matter what you breed her to your odds are half spiders,Now bred to a het recessive trait you just watered down your odds of seeing that recessive trait again! because even if you use the spider sibs and probably only one male to do the job he has to be A HET to tell if the girls you used carry the genes and if they are hets.Chris the odds are tough breeding a het to normal or another animal not carrying that gene because you just chopped your odds in half again

If you breed a 100% het to a spider you will get 50% spider and 50% normal looking offsprings, all being considered 50% het not knowing which one it would be, you will need to keep all the female offsprings and breed them back to their dad to prove them out.
