incubation periods range between 55-75 days, depending on incubation temperature.

Generally said 55 - 75 days depending on incubation temps. But, I have books that say as early as 45 (doubtful) to as long as 85.

Rob Dachiu and I talked about someone who doesn't even incubate them. Just leaves them in the nest at room temp. He said about 1/2 hatch. Figure that's gotta take a while.

They certainly wouldn't have much trouble hatching at the room temperature in my apartment...just take awhile. I hatch out crested gecko eggs with no problems but then again, 75F is good temperature to hatch those little eggs in.

Both of you!thanks i comin up on 2 monthes and are being incbd.in my Closet high shelf mid 70s-mid 80s i heard today as long as 3 monthes?

BDlvr Jul 28, 2007 07:20 PM

I bet it will be 3 months. The books all say 82 as the minimum temp. So at mid 70's bound to be over 75 days at least, which is 2 1/2 months anyway.

BDlvr Jul 28, 2007 07:21 PM

You should post when they hatch. I'd be really interesting to know how many days and what the hatch rate was.

mid 70s at night almost natural,my a/c themo is set @80* and the closet is always warmer and no drafts and my manufactured homes roof and ceiling cant be more than 8" thick so its probably warmer, snakes hatch good(colubrids),but an incubater is in order w/ ball pythons next season (recommended 89.5*)what is the prefered temp of beardies?

BDlvr Jul 28, 2007 07:49 PM

82 - 86. If you buy a Hovabator like I have there is about a 2 degree swing as room temp changes. Most breeders incubate at about 84. I incubate in a Hovabator at 84-86.
