Pest strips

FLAohHerper Jul 28, 2007 09:43 PM

Well I just realized I had a mite infestation,I think do to recently buying used racks.I have heard that the pest strips you buy at home depot work great.Just hang one in the room and in a few days all the mites, including on the snake, will die off.Has anyone used the Hot shot pest strips and what was there thought. And how did you use it?Or are there any other suggestions I should do?

thanks,
Mike

Be careful. Your best bet with Pest Strip is to hang it in the room away from cages. The chemical particles will settle in water bowls if the cages have screen tops. Or else, remove all water bowls for a day while the pest strip does its job.

A much better and safer alternative is Provent-a-Mite from www.pro-products.com. Works better than anything when used exactly as directed on the can.
