Breeding question

happysurgeman Jul 29, 2007 01:32 AM

After Copulations has ceased..and the male no longer seems interested. ( my balls only copulated twice and dont seem interested in each other anymore. ) how long does it take (on average) for you to start seeing signs of egg development? such as laying inverted, seeking the cool end, etc.

another question... follicles.
what the hell are they and what the hell do they feel like?

thanks alot

Depending on the size of the female, number of eggs, and size of the eggs, you may never be able to tell visually if you have a gravid snake.
You can start feeling the female's belly by pushing in slightly and see if you feel the eggs.
As far as 'seeking the cool end', I would disagree. SHe should go back and forth between warm and cold side, but should spend most of her time on the warm side. Without heat, the eggs will not grow propperly or at all. The above statement could all change if your room is already on the warm side.
