Dimpled Ball Eggs

rugha Jul 29, 2007 09:00 AM

Pic is of my 6 eggs from a spider to normal. In the last 10 days or so, the eggs went from nice and full to this. Today is day 57. I candled them and eggs are full of veins. Think things are ok? At what point should I cut them open?

"Think things are ok?" Yes.

"At what point should I cut them open?" You shouldn't. They should hatched on their own in the next few days.

Good luck with them.

You're welcome. Let us know when they hatch and post some pictures of the babies.

Ball python eggs begin to collapse within about 14 days of hatching most of the time.I cut my eggs at 50 days but this is a very touchy subject.Good luck with them however you go with it .Terry

They look good so far. Leave them and they should start to pip on their own shortly.

I always open the eggs at day 56, if they have not already pipped on their own. No losses so far, and I've been doing this for 3 years now.
