How Do I Teach My Baby Sulcata ?

I just bought a baby sulcata today. it's 8 weeks old. how do i get it to know me? i want it to be lovable and not be afraid of poeple. does anybody know how to do that?

also i have been researching but i don't know what to feed it.
romaine lettuce?
i herd grasses but i don't know where to find grasses.

how much do hatchlings ussually cost?

As far as how much do sulcata hatchlings usually cost? you should know you just bought one today, otherwise checkout the tortoises section of kingsnake classifieds.

Well the good news is that you have over a hundred years to find out. All my Sulcatas act differently. They all do one thing in common, when it is chow time they all come running. I would say the answer to your question is give it time. Most baby reptiles think we our going to eat them when we pick them up. It may take a year or so, but be careful when you handle them. As for feeding them,I cut collard greens, romane,red leaf lettuce,zucinni,green squash,carrots,mastard greens,into very small pieces. About 15% of thier diet is Mozury tortois chow soaked in enough water to soften it up. I also live in Florida, so my tortoises graze on my lawn. They earn thier keep by mowing my lawn. You can use thimothy hay from the pet store as a last resort.
