day 55

So it's 2 since 1 snake fully emerged and was cruising around the incubator. Maybe a preemie? . I have been checking roughy every 12 hours and had seen no activity since the first one fully emerged. Finally this morning I take a look to see two more pippers.

Whats interesting is I coupled the same two last year and from 9 eggs I got a perfect litter of 8 snows and 1 anery.
So far this batch contains 2 anery already and 1 snow. 10 eggs to go!!!!

Notice the very small egg at the top right of the 1st pic and the abnormaly large one next to it. twins????

And here is the preemie, looks fine though and has already been seen drinkeing water

Way more pics and updates to come!!!!

I have noticed that snakes that are truly premies (when they hatch before they are supposed to), have a kinda shortened snout and domed head. It is kinda like the head/face is the last to develop. Well, besides the absorbing of the unbilicus. i have a true premie. Would you like a picture of the head, that I am referring to?
i am not saying that I am absolutely right. It has just been what I have noticed with my snakes and the bad luck that I have had this year.

yeah i dont see much of a deformed head and the snake is very active flicking tongue often, etc...
I just wonder beacause this one has emerged nearly 3 days before the rest. And so far only 3 other pippers

That is very odd. Is that an old picture? If so did the head eventually developer better? If not I wander if it will or if it will look like that its entire life.

nope. that is one of my babies this year. he has yet to shed, or eat. I usually offer a meal if they are a week old and have not shed. Then I offer again during the next feeding after shed. i guess we will see.
