Response to Austin Chronicle Article

I was appalled when I read what has happened to non-game hunting laws in Texas. I havent hunted herps in several years. However, I had always hoped of returning to the pasttime that I enjoyed so much. Unfortunately, it doesnt look like that desire is a possibility now unless something is done by the collective action of herpers, TPWD and the legislature. I am curious if any action is being taken in this regard. I am currently a student at the University of Texas in Austin, and with my proximity to the school and its resources as well as the legislature, I think that I might be of some help. If anyone has taken any action in regards to this issue or wants to, please let me know. Thanks!

Mark,
All help is welcomed. Joe Forks is working on a website for HCU which I think will be up soon. All kinds of plans are in the works from every angle possible. Once the website and associated accounts for memberships are avail. the more members the better. I agree, you're in a good place to do some work.
