my leo pixie often has trouble grabbing food items. alot of times it takes her two or three strikes to grab a mealworm (even if its in a dish!). her mother beanie does not appear to have this problem. what interests me is that pixie's father, pheonix had the same issue with his food. both pheonix and pixie have the same angular head/face with a narrower nose than beanie does. could it be that she inherited this issue from her daddy? she still maintains a good weight and eats well...it just takes her a bit longer.

Anything is possible. Yes its possible but this could be a few things, maybe even a defect in the way he was growing in the egg, how are the other babies?

I do see family similarities in both "personality" and feeding styles in my leos. I'm not sure it's linked to head size/shape, but who knows? It certainly could be a factor. I did also want to mention that there is no such thing as a het for high yellow. hypo/high yellow is a line trait, not a gene.
