why do these look different?

xblackheart Jul 30, 2007 01:18 AM

These two hatchling came from the same clutch. The smaller one looks like a mottley most of its body. I can not tell if it has pattern on its belly or not, but it might half way down. The smaller one is also a diffrerent color. Is this snake just an odd looking normal snow? Or possibly hypo?
I am not going to say it is motley because it does have a section of its body that looks to have normal pattern. Anyone have an idea?

They look like normal snows to me...there are some variation in color tone of snows..some are more pink, some are more yellow, some are faded...and patterns are always slightly different.

The picture you provided, I can't tell any difference in color..but I know how lousy cameras can be in showing subtle color variations.

I like the one that looks motley - the triangle on its head reminds me of a Federation Insignia Badge.

The pattern on that snake reminds me of some creamsicles I hatched that were half-motley like that.

Very nice little guys.
