Nothing like looking in an egg box and see a pile of eggs! My milks have been kinda late all around this year but the black milks in particular have taken forever to breed and get ready for laying this year. Last night (7/29) I got my first clutch of black milks this year and boy was it a clutch worth waiting for! 13 big eggs! This is the same female that last year gave me 11 eggs the year after having surgery to remove an egg stuck a few inches above her vent (in hindsight, I would have worked a little harder to manually extract it, but it all tutned out fine). She is now six years old, San Antino Zoo stock. Five feet long and weighing in at 1,100 to 1,200 grams. She was bred to a soderberg line black milk. My other black milk (my biggest) should lay her first clutch in about a week. She is the same snake that gave a clutch of 15 and a clutch of 7 last year.
