My pastel got lighter after she shed?

lenoce8 Jul 30, 2007 01:27 PM

Is this even possible?
and I'm sure it's not just because I've been seeing her all grayish for the past week. I have pictures of her in sunlight without flash from about 3 weeks ago when I bought her and she definitely appears to be brighter now with a MUCH more noticeable amount of blushing on her sides. Am I just going crazy or has anyone heard of this happening before?

Its normal, but you better enjoy it because before you know it she will darken up. As pastels get older they tend to darken up. When there young they have some of the best color ever even getting better with some size.

I agree with Chris, it's pretty normal to see an increase in brightness after shed especially in youngsters!

It is most likely do to a lack of L-Tyassin and trace Copper ,so I would add a good reptile Vitamin to the feeders . David of DS Reptile Rescue
