questions about my new pet

hi today i got a amazon tree boa ive been told he is 2 years old though i think he is younger.
i got him cos the shop was not caring for him correct no branches or humidity though still in good health.ive given him a glass tank well vented temp of 28 degrees is this correct???he has been trying to shed im unsure to how long for but how long does it normally take tree boas to shed?will he get it off ok and how does it mornally come off one go or bits?i do keep other snakes i got burms and royals but never had a tree boa hence the questions

congrats on your new ATB.
Below is a link that has a lot of information about their care and may be of some help.
I assume by 28 degrees you mean centigrade. Tree boas seem to thrive in a range between 75°F and 85°F (23.8C - 29.4C). I try to keep a day temp gradient 80-85F and night gradient of 73-78F.

Amazons need high humidity. The shed should come off all in one piece like all snakes. If your snake is having a patchy shed try misting more frequently (or depending on your substrate, dump the water bowl to increase humidity). For a really bad shed, you may need to soak the snake. I’ve found it helpful with amazons to provide them something to hold onto in the tub while soaking. Hope some of this helps!
