if you have no plans of breeding. also for feeding i fed my snake 2 pinkies the other day and it took them with no problem. it is about 18 inches i ordered 100 large pinkies and 100 small fuzzies from rodent pro. would feeding 2 every 4 days or so be fine for the snake? the pinkies i got from petsmart were smaller than the ones i ordered but they seemed a little small. thanks for the help.

If you are just keeping them as a pet, brumation is not necessary.
It dosn´t matter if you want to breed or not.
Brumation is a natural part of the life/behaviour of gartersnakes and for that reason I find it neccesary.
