I can see you put some time and effort into your cage. Your baby croc looks good. I am sure it enjoys zipping around in there.

A few suggestions:
I would of coated the inside of the cage with FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) or something to help hold up to the moisture.

Put in some more furnishings, branches, shelves, etc.. This will allow your monitor to use all of the space you have provided.

Toss the wire cages surrounding your bulbs. IMO offering them something to grab onto to stop them from getting close to the bulb and burning is pointless.

I also would of mounted the lights differently. Being so high they tend to heat the entire cage rather then just the basking area that is needed. Suspending them from the top of the cage and hanging down works well. I would place a shelf under the light to allow the monitor to get flat out and bask.

Again these are just a few suggestions take it or leave it.

Good luck to you and your monitor

vsalvadorii: where are you getting a cb croc monitor?

I agree with Jpshadows. You have a nice cage but it does need some fine tuning.

Besids what jody (jpshadows) said I would add some hides. I would add a hide in the braches and one on the ground. Your croc monitor will be happy to have a tight fitting area where it can't be viewed all of the time.

Oww and a good pair of gloves

Thanks for the suggestions, there are a few improvements i still need to finish up. The wood has been treated with a water sealer, five coats and about a week and a half of sitting in the sun to make sure it dries completely and there is no residual odors. The piece of wood the croc is sitting on is actually a hide place and is about 12 inches deep there's another hide next to the rocks on the floor of the enclosure. there are a few other ledges i still need to mount as well as another hide box.
Best to ya,Chris
