Can yall tell me the type of uro you have, if it's male or female, its length, and weight in grams. Some numbers I've been seeing vary so much from what Gnuby's stats are - I'm just curious to where he stands. Thanks yall!

Can yall tell me the type of uro you have, if it's male or female, its length, and weight in grams. Some numbers I've been seeing vary so much from what Gnuby's stats are - I'm just curious to where he stands. Thanks yall!
i don't know all those statistics- but age will matter as well as length of time in captivity. if he won't gain weight he may have somewhat of a parasite load-you can get a fecal check done.
Also he is new, right?WC? yeah, get a fresh poo, fold it in moist paper towel, and put it in a ziplock and bring it in right away-before it gets stale.don't worry, routine stuff.
Thank you for adding 'age' I overlooked that factor when asking the first time. I don't know if Gnuby was WC or CB, he's a petstore baby (well not baby, he's a bit over 12"
who we have treated for the pinworms he came with (we were told he was dewormed by the store, the vet surprised us with that info) and he weighed 180g at his vet check (with the worms, before treatment). We have another 2 weeks or so before we submit the second fecal to be sure he's cleared the worms. I don't know yet if he has put on any more weight, he seems to have rounded out nicely in the few months we've had him. I was just curious as to if, say, Mali's were more 'dense' than Geyri (I saw a pair of Mali's, 11" at around 230g, and a 12" at around 280g.) I just want to be sure my lil guy is proportionally a good size. Thanks again to anyone who can share any of their uro's statistics.
Not sure why there is a smiley in there...sorry.
mali's are more heavy bodied than geyri's
he probably is wc(all of mine are)
look at the tail and legs for weight gain, also the base of the neck getting thicker. the stomach can be misleading- although a nice full belly is a good thing.
i am sure he will be fine.
like i said all of mine have been wc and only had a problem with 2 that were complete maniacs that just would not chill. but i love them all- i might even be getting a cbb- never had one- it will be interesting to see what all the "fuss" is about(haha)
also most of mine were thin when i got them-they all look nice now-even the brand newbie little mali is improving at a good rate after being pretty thin(but yellow!)
he'll get his weight up- don't worry.
His tail wasn't sunken when we got him, he actually was in pretty good looking shape from the start. But, I have noticed his tail is going from flat bottomed to rounding out making his whole tale more cone-like. And he does have his lil thunder-thighs
I dont have any of Goob's first days with us loaded on Kingsnake, and I doubt anyone would be able to tell that he's changed a bit besides us since we see him every day. Thanks for letting me know that Mali's tend to be more heavy than Geyri's... that large difference made me nervous.
Hey Gnuby! Your yellow twin here...
Gizmo was a little bit thin when we got him also, but in pretty good shape for being WC thanks to our locally-owned pet store that actually knows how to care properly for their reptiles.
Giz has put on a nice amount of weight in the last three months, I can tell by the base of his tail and his thighs, which have really plumped u from when we first got him. I'm not sure what he weighs now, don't have a scale to measure him with. He's about 13" long, and I sure wish I knew how old he is, but there's no way to tell. He's eating really well and never went through an adjustment period, just active and curious and eating like a pig from day one. We're lucky also in that he was never fed insects and he loves his daily salad.

Tell Gnuby that his twin Gizmo says hello
lol - I'll tell him! Yea I was hoping to hear from you, having Gnubs' twin 'n everything. Well if you ever get a chance to weigh him, let me know
Also - does Giz seem to like it a bit hotter than the suggested temps. Gnub is almost always on his hot side, and is a little more sleepy than I would like. I can't really fit any more heat lamps on that side of the tank though! But, he is still getting rid of the pinworms, in about 2 weeks we bring back a fecal to be checked, he may just feel icky from all that stuff going on inside. Still an eating and pooping machine, just 'hits the hay' earlier than I had expected.
Gizmo seems to like the hot side of his cage also. The ambient on the hot side is usually around 98 degrees. I don't have an IR gun (yet), so it's hard for me to measure his basking rock, but if I lay an oven thermometer flat on the rock it hits around 125 degrees. Gizmo's lights come on at 7, he's up and moving usually by 8 or 8:30, and he puts himself to bed by about 5-ish every evening, though his lights stay on until 7 pm. He's pretty active most of the day, except for when he's lounging on his basking rock or his terra-cota pot to soak up the UVB.
I also need to take another fecal down to the vet to make sure his pinworms are cleared also, needed to do that a couple of weeks ago but I'm getting over foot surgery and haven't been getting around as much as usual. If I have to take him back to the vet for another treatment I'll be sure to get his weight and let you know.
I'll tell Giz that his brother says hi
