Hey all,

I had my first clutch of '07 drop last night. I was actually not expecting this one for another week or so. I'm expecting another female to drop before the end of the week.

Sire: Hypomel Male (he's been a great breeder the last couple of years).

Dam: Normal Female I picked up from the Tampa Snake Pit last year. I don't know her history but I suspect she may be wild caught. She's a great snake. Weighing close to 9lbs and just over 6 feet long. She's a monster but perfectly tame.

This wasn't a big clutch (although it could have been), but the babies look like thery'll be very nice. Besides being 100% het for hypo, they all have a little red in them already. I can't wait to see them color up. Sorry for the bad pics. I'm sure I'll brag a little more about them once they have some color though.

Here's the stats:
Clutch date: 7-31-07
Age of female: 4 years???
Clutch size: 9 live
3 still
18 slugs (I know...damn)
Mass of lightest baby: 12.39g (I think the clutch was a little premature)
Mass of heaviest: 32.75g
Days since Post-ovulatory shed: 104

Thanks for looking. Hopefully, I'll have some more news later this week.

Congrats Mike!! That male of your is gorgeous, I just love the yellow. The babies look great, too bad the slugs didn't develop into babies. Please do post pictures of them after they shed.

Thanks for the good vibes y'all.

Yeah Ed, I think that even if I do this until I'm 80 years old, it will still always be cool to watch.
