I've got some laundry that needs done and the turtle tank could really use some cleaning. Also, how many eggs would a cat gecko usually lay in a year? I think that's about it unless you're good with cars.

You're lucky if you can find pics on there... Except for the website of the guy I got them from in the first place. Anyway, that was my one burning gecko question.

lele Aug 20, 2003 06:44 PM

...so you are even newer - to me at least but obviously not to the forum! Are you the resident expert?

I don't have any burning ???'s at the moment. I adopted an itty bitty house gecko from PetCo last week after they found it roaming their back room, so they gave it to me for free. I haven't seen her eat yet, but she is still alive so I assume she has! LOL! I have other nocturnal herps: a grey tree frog and a tarantula, so I watch them by the red light at night. The GTF eats a LOT, Rose (T) eats anytime I give something to her, but I have yet to see my little one eat.

Well anyway, glad you're out there in gecko-cyber space!

He isn't the resident expert. (Neither am I, except, apparently, for cat geckos). However, there ARE resident experts, so if you have a question feel free to ask.

thanks! I frequent a few of the KS forums and know that no one is expert in everything! It was his "I'm Here, anyone need help?" post that made me wonder tho' most experts are a bit more modest - LOL! just teasing

As for experts I have a lot of interest and knowledge in plants and insects so any ??? re: those topics I may be able to help!

Congrats at actually catching a house gecko. I worked at a Petco for a bit once and never could catch the things. The main reason I don't have a cool looking day gecko is because I don't think I'd ever catch it if it got out. I tend to stick to ones that don't run so fast. Currently all I have in the gecko department is 2 cresties and the 2 cats.

It wasn't me who caught it. I got chatting with the lizard guy (after going in for cat supplies!) and he said they would give it to me if I wanted it so I guess it was an employee who got it. But after seeing how speedy these little ones are it is pretty impressive. If she gets out she'll be gone - no question!
