So my GF has been wanting a Colubrid for a while now. Well yesterday i was at my local pet store and i see it. An adult Albino (potentially lavender) Cal Kingsnake. Well long story short it came home with me. It is now in a temporary house until i get a 40breeder for it, which should only be a couple of days.

Its very easy to handle and isn't twitchy etc like some are

Wow, you lucked out. My experience with cal kings is very messy and very smelly (the ones I've held would poo and flail their butts all over, flinging it around).

I have a friend that has them, get this they are 20 years old and still going, though one developed a tumor after 19 years, still alive, I can not imagine how much longer they will live, he has 4 of them, none are albino however, they are supposedly het. He never bred them because they where all males lol. I named one "The Killer Kingsnake" , he smelt another snake on me and grabbed my thumb, took me an hour to convince him to let go. Needless to say very hardy colubrids.

Very nice Cal King! Do you know if it is male or female? It doesn't look lavender to me, just a really nice normal albino. Do youplan to breed Cal Kings?

....c'mon man! Learn your grammar! lol just kidding.

I think a 40 gallon breeder for a Cal King might be overdoing it. Your CRB needs a 40 gallon breeder more than that cal king.

My Cal King is just fine in a 20 long.

Well Kingsnakes tend to be more of a hunting snake, they move arround, in the wild they travel quite a bit and generally dont stay in one place, so you generally need to give a king/milksnake a little more room on average then a boa/python.
