Building a Vivarium

DKiM128 Aug 19, 2003 02:25 PM

Hi, I wanted to build a vivarium, but what would the height and width have to be. I'm builindg the vivarium for 3-4 D. Luecs and 5-6 D. Vents. I want it to be at least a 75 gallon tank. Prefably if anyone has the dimension and pictures of a good built terrarium, it would help alot.

You can be as creative as you want. If you are planning to actually construct your own tank out of fiberglass or whatever then the sky is the limit. A standard 75 gallon cage is 48" long x 18" wide x 24" tall. Hope this helps

Although he was just giving the normal dimensions of a 75 gallon fish tank, for Darts you may want to add more height than 24 inches. There is so much more you can do with a taller tank than a shorter one, IMHO. Lizard Lounges make excellent tanks that are almost cube sized and ~75 gallons. You will have tons of fun setting it up!
