cornsnake234 Aug 19, 2003 02:36 PM

Since few years, my RES tank is infested by green algae, i remove them every week, and the water must be change because it get all green and it's very disgusting and smeel bad, i was thinking about buying algae destroyer but they don't sell it in big quantity at pet store and it would last only one week, so, it would be too expensive.

Any suggestion would be appreciated!

thx

Is your tank in front of a window? (Light encourages algae growth.) If so, moving it would help. Also when you clean your tank, do it really well and remove all algae. If you leave just a little, it will grow back really quickly.
