Here she is in all her glory.
The really nice thing is that she is 50 % het for pied. I'm guessing that she is a het. Most if not all other jags I've heard of are 100 % hets.

Very nice!
I have seen quite a few of these...and sometimes the nice examples often seem to have a single black belly stripe...right down the center line of the belly.
Do you happen to have any photos of this one's belly?
Sure would love to sneak a peek...
Good looking snake you have there.

The first photo shows the line you're talking about, although the other jag doesn't show anything except the possibility of a het pied mark.
What do you think.

Hey,
I am not familiar with Jags. Can someone explain this to me. I have had this 100% het for pied male for a long time which I always considered to ba a labyrinth(sp?). Do you think my het male is a jag? If so, what breeding options do I have with him? Please elaborate on what a jag is.

Thanks,
Rafael
Ralph:
There isn't that much known about Jaguars. Two years ago I sent a friend an adult normal female. Before I sent her to him I thought I would do him a favor and bred it to my male ghost. I had purchased the female normal from some people that had it posted on craigslist. They only had the one snake so I know that she had not ever been with another male. I believe she laid five eggs and two of them came out jaguars. The sad thing is that they never ate and soon died not long after they hatched. I don't have that concern with my jag. she is only 1 1/2 months old and already weighs 250 grams.
I know that Steve Roussis had one a few years ago from an albino to normal breeding and Camlon has a pair of adults.
I just had another clutch hatch the other day from the father (100 % Het pied) of the female jag shown in the photos to a normal female. There were only two viable eggs from this breeding and to my surprise another female jag appeared.
I've heard some breeders say that this anomaly might be caused by a spike in incubation temperature. The odd thing is that in the latest clutch of two eggs there was one normal and the jaguar. You would think if this was caused by a spike in temperature that it would have effected both of the babies.
All I have at this time are questions with no real answers.
If there is anyone out there that could shed some light on this subject I sure would appreciate some insight.
In the nmean time I'll just keep feeding em.
I'll post some photos of their bellies tomorrow.
